Excellent start there Shabaz, I see you got Gazibo working no problems. As I said it was the "killer app" for the Robot OS. I couldn't get the Robot OS to build on anything other than Ubuntu for ages and the weird build system was annoying . Any way you have got the "best " part of it working on it 's own ...good one.

What are you going to use for SLAM Shabaz?

Great post.

You are very correct. Every large project I worked on we simulated hardware and software throughout the development stages to mitigate interface issues as we went.

I used to model computer architectures to make sure that the processors and networks could support the operational software. I was able to find and correct many hardware and software issues before they became very expensive to correct.

I urge everyone to learn how to use simulations for their projects.
