Sentry Turrets used for building site security

These were spotted in a building site.. they seem to be protecting the digger from trespassers. I'd be interested to know what technologies are involved.

Good day

Is there a service or device to pick up if there is a foreign phone on your property?

Today there is a huge problem with poachers, stock theft and crime in general in South Africa especially stock theft for my father as he is a farm owner and one of he's farms are close to a town where easily accessible for poachers to steels stock. Unfortunately tracking someones phone without consent is illegal without the proper permissions, a way around this is to create a personal device to detect if someone is on your property if they have there cellphone with them, without technically tracking them, In terms of size of property we are talking about a 1000 hectares of land.

Hardware Encryption Module

Hello everyone,

I am going to Implement a AES-256 using some controller. I need suggestions for road-map and a decent choices of controllers.
Should I send complete file to controller for encryption because this implementation limits my range of file sizes.

Any help will be appreciated.

Laptop Webcam to Network Camera or Battery Powered/Automated Video Recorder

I stripped a webcam out of an old laptop; I do not remember what kind.

I was wondering if it would be possible to convert this webcam into a network camera or some sort of battery powered/automated video recorder.

DroneShield is a low-cost, easy-to-use device that detects the presence of nearby drones (including RC helicopters, quadrotors, etc) and issues alerts via email, sms, and a flashing light. The goal is to help preserve privacy from low-cost remote-control air vehicles with video cameras.

DroneShield includes a microphone that listens for sounds of drones. Each DroneShield contains a database of common drone acoustic signatures so false alarms are reduced (IE ignores lawn mowers and leaf blowers) and in many cases the type of drone is also included in the alert.

And now for the best part...they are porting it to Raspberry Pi!

I have signed up to volunteer my time to help assemble, load software, test and debug...

Does anyone else find this project as awesome as I do ?

I have tried to download the base flash software from hc908ap64 mcu, but without success because security rom area.

I used prog08sz software and and cyclone pro programmer.

Is someone of you able to help on this problem?

I need it because I intend flashing a blank board with this base software.

Fingerprints, DNA, retina scan, bone structure, vein structure, earprints, speach patterns and other biometric methods of identification have all, or are all being developed and tested. Is there one method to rule them all?

What type of biometric test do you think will dominate, or is there enough market and applications for all to do well?
