I have not used it for more than two years as my die sets are still missing! I found a replacement on eBay with the RJ-45 die set installed. for $12.00 +8sh not bad. basically stick the wire in the contact put it in the jaw and crimp! be careful there are two different contacts solid wire and stranded. ~~ Cris

Everything looks so mucheasier when you have the right tool. I keep telling my wife this but she thinks one hammer and a screwdriver is enough - why do I need more, and more, and more.

Thank you for the tare-down, I would not have had the guts to do that with my tooling which is spot on. BTW you can pick up a positioner for about $9..00 on eBay. or you can make your own.

here is the print for the positioner you could make one yourself from PLA then pin it for the lock and then a tube in the center (brass/Aluminum). The positioner locks in the bottom of your tool. Great (and brave!) teardown.

I have a video request. I'd like to see the device being used when crimping.

I found DMC AF8 & AFM8 videos. Would like to see your device in action...
