When I built this on my Win10 system, I had to add an include for ctype.h to resolve isdigit().

By any chance, were you able to connect this meter up to your PC and pull data from the DMM without the Keysight software? Looking to take measurements and input them into a certain excel sheet for a prototype board I am working on. Hoping I can get it to operate like a barcode scanner.

Nice work.

I do like the background advice you're receiving from your cousin.....

The only missing piece is external power for the meter.

But if you assume that you'll shove fresh batteries in before doing remote logging, then it works very well.

The fastlog code is so clear and understandable that it wouldn't be hard to write your own applications that could do whatever you want with that data.

Great review,

I was happy to see the voice alert system embedded. I think that providing audio cuing for users can be the next big step for instrumentation.

I also like the data logging feature. There are times when I need to capture data over a long period of time to catch rare events.

Very nice Review Shabaz! I'm just finishing up my first part of comparing the Keysight to the Fluke 289 and Yokogawa TY720. I figured why not do a feature comparison to see how it stacks up.
