Very good post!

Yet another reason to choose the U1272A over the U1273A. I agree that it looks nice indoors, but I'm not sure it's worth the compromise, especially since it suffers from the shorter battery life issue as well.

Edit: Was the grand prize for the 33622A RoadTest awarded, or you just happened to have a U1273A around? There were no announcements made in this regard, but the deadline has long passed, which is why I'm asking.

Hi Peter,

Good post! My phone is not so great outdoors either, with it's OLED display :-(

However, I suspect indoors the story might be completely reversed. OLED will probably be viewable from a distance, whereas the reflective LCD might not with it's more limited contrast.

Also, as I understand, LCDs may not work as well in cold conditions.

I hear there used to be analog dials, and they used to work very well in all conditions ;-)

I am with you, I would have thought the OLED would be better, but as your video shows, LCD is best for outside use.

Good information to know if you need to work outside, though where I live, the sun only shines that bright on a few days of the year.
