I'm still a little bitter (at no one in particular) that I didn't discover the copper scrubber pads until late in life. [emoticon:752f32bcc91d4a448db162742a877a4a] Those are still my favorite (right now).

I'm still a spongey-kinda guy. I like to clean my tips without sticking them into ... dark and shady orifices ... haha.

At least, it's easy to know when the job is done when you can see the tip while you're cleaning it ... and also rest easy knowing that consumables are virtually nil ...

That being said, rather interesting to think there is a "carwash-for-soldering-iron-tips". I wasn't aware of this until now!

Thanks for the review. I think I'll stick with the hand powered type.

Having said that the CM30 is so nicely over-engineered inside that it is quite tempting - just the thought of those nice little bearings and pulley wheels in their machined from solid gearbox [emoticon:c4563cd7d5574777a71c318021cbbcc8]
