The aim was to support the circuit boards in an angled position, to make it easier to work them. The solu

RE: Shop Tips – PCB Circuit Board Holders and Stands

The weight of the wood will hold those boards nicely John ... no more awkward sliding about !

RE: Shop Tips – PCB Circuit Board Holders and Stands

Hi Shabaz,

I took apart an old DVD rack and used the Cherry Wood ends to make a couple of the wood holders with slots. The idea to use the rail in a support as you show in the first images was already something I had in mind to fix some circuit parts inside the Meditech box but I have not found yet a really efficient solution. The suggestion to make two parts clamping the boards instead I think it is great!.

Small board inside the rails is something like the rack mounting supports of some multi-board devices (included some PC desktop). I think that the screws holding the two parts, clamping the board is the great solution! I see two advantages. The first is that the support itself can be fixed to the box container with less screws than what needed fixing more boxes and the second is that the boards can be removed simply - and kept in place also simply and efficiently - without the need to disassemble the entire board.

Many thanks for the suggestions I will sure adopt with some variations as the "official holding system" in the Meditech container [View:/resized-image/__size/16x16/__key/commentfiles/f7d226abd59f475c9d224a79e3f0ec07-63660142-9b05-4037-a116-565083535c8e/contentimage_5F00_1.png:16:16]

Enrico

RE: Shop Tips – PCB Circuit Board Holders and Stands

Excellent idea.

Well done.

RE: Shop Tips – PCB Circuit Board Holders and Stands

Hi Shabaz,

I really like this idea.
