Very interesting and comprehensive report! The amount of mods and the quality of work doesn't inspire much confidence. I appreciate it is a low-volume product but at the price (looks like close to £400 inc VAT) it doesn't look like good value : (

Awesome job of comparing the two instruments. Very strange how the quality of build seems so different between the two instruments. Is this like some of the old stories about mass produced automobiles (Monday and Friday built cars had the highest rate of defect because the workers were either thinking about the weekend or suffering from the weekend - i.e. over consumption of alcohol). Another sample point added to you exhaustive series on Isolation testers!
