I have some interest in polarised light as I have some difficulty seeing and polarised sunglasses help. I have some night driving glasses which are not much help during the night but are great for bright sunlight. Strangely they make everything seem brighter which would seem counter-intuitive for bright sunlight, but they work really well. White lines on roads look really bright and white. I think it is mainly the anti-glare surface coating and they seem to filter out the blue colour.
