This webinar will present an example of how this is done using the video-centric Avnet UltraZed-EV platform. Of the MANY ways that video CAN be processed, a simple demo will show a USB Webcam passing data into the codec and streamed over the Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP). The benefit to this structure is that almost the entirety of the processing system and programmable logic are available for your custom processing needs for AI/Machine Learning (ML) or other intelligent algorithmic needs! The UltraZed-EV (Embedded Vision) platform adds support for 4K H.264 / H.265 hardware video codec capable of simultaneous encode and decode. High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC), or H.265, is a video compression standard improves coding efficiency substantially compared to its precedent, the Advanced Video Coding (AVC), or H.264. HEVC uses efficient coding by encoding video at the lowest possible bit rate while maintaining a high image quality level.
