figurine made from scrap electronics

I wondered what i could do with salvaged parts,that i can´t use properly for future projects.

Well i think i found a cool way to use those parts, by making figurines.

Here is my thirst one:

Moveable Spiderlike figurine made from scrap electronics (mostly sovjiet/DDR components)
a.k.a the sovjet-spider TK-15

I think I used a combination of tweezers and just my bare fingers to hold some parts.

Your soldering skills are good then .... or did you use pliers to hold the pieces.?

For the Electrical Service Technician course the pupils are required to solder a cube made from 30mm (1 3/16inch) pieces of clean copper wire WITHOUT tools. (well except the soldering iron)
For anyone not experienced ... it was an interesting challenge and neatness counted, as well as structural stength.

I did manage to get one down to 10mm but it was hard trying to assemble it.

Once you've mastered the skill of soldering, you'll never loose it.

Strange, I never had issues with the other end melting. This was with a 25w iron and lead free multi core solder.

Hi Samuel,
I used to have my sons build this type of structure as a practice to getting better at soldering. There is a trick to heating the solder just enough to make a good joint but not so long that the solder melts at the other end of the wire. Yours looks a lot more complex than what they used to make though. Good Work!
