Rory I think I should higher you as a pr guy. hahaha   Thanks for the kind words.  I had 3 completely different builds I wanted to make as soon as I finished this one I see where a lot of the guys on here just don't stop at one its quite addictive.

Thanks Shabaz,  Black and Red has always been my 2 colors put together something about it just says awesome to me.   I certainly tried to explain things but after having to cut a few minutes, 8 minutes actually from my first edit a lot was left out as I felt it was being picky.  But certainly would have like to have had it all in there.  Maybe a extended version later on.

Hey Andy, I checked yours out as well enjoyed it. It was a really nice build. Personally I was leaning towards something similar but then after a few designs and playing with the materials I had I decided to go this route. I also had another with angled screen I was going to do but thought I would stick with a arcade console look and feel.

Great craftsmanship and you did a good job of pointing out things that were useful for someone wanting to tackle a project like this.

Video is great because it allows you to learn from watching others and that gives a lot of people confidence to try.

The finished product looked really nice! Loved how you chose to try making it all with hand tools rather than CNC. Nice job!

That is one beautifully painted handcraft! I really like how you stained the wood and used red for the panels. Really sets it off and gives it the look of a real cabinet. Congrats on making something out of easily available materials!

Hi again Wesley .. your project really stuck in my head, there's far to much literal emphasis on in pocket retro/shrinking etc.. with the onset off powerful projectors and AR you could have real world interactions from a very reasonably portable machine, i.e.  a single backpack does the job too!

Anyway I think ther's great potential for your build.. imagine you had a simple stand and a giant tent-like fabric arcade with a projector mirroring your screen or even switching to a touch screen controller ingame! I think it would be spectacular and seriously impressive as a project/company showpiece and a very accessible build kit. Another idea would be to have folding parts but wouldn't be critical the solid clean piece of red on black looks fantastic[at a push slight verydarkgrey for variation] !

Enjoyed the video. The project sounds something unexpected and this makes it very interesting. Thumb up!

If I can suggest just a technical note, speed-up a bit and take in consideration that in the "fiction" you have everything you need in your lab, so no need - except in some special cases - to unbox the stuff needed to work with. Beh Heck teaches

I really enjoyed watching the video - you explain things really well, and the entire project looks spectacular - something very elegant about the form-factor you chose and the rest of the design and color choices too!

That's a really cool and unique design! I also did an arcade-style build, but I like that you went with more authentic controls. Even just the sound of them is satisfying. I think we're using the same USB encoder.
