I'm a beginner, but my wish to learn is huge. I have so much plans, want to do everything opensource and easy to make to everyone, who has a wish. Now I'm working on my cnc machine to develope PCBs. My next project will be cheap car computer, with help to drive more ecological. Osciloscope would help me with lots of problems. image

Just starting to work with PSoC and FPGAs for real world interfaces. I would use the scope for signal monitoring and validation. The impact of frequency on the signal quality of sigma-delta DAC implementations would be a starting point for using the FFT capabilities.

I already got one for a RoadTest and would like to donate one to our electronics students forum. We have setup a student-teach-student system here and would like to have instruments that support that activity. My scope is currently running between my home lab and university lab.

Technologies behind sites like youtube have allowed for technical content to be quickly made and uploaded. This has lead to an explosion of electronics material available on the web, some good quality like Ben's and others quite poor. However, this has also lead to a reduction in well written tutorials, with images. Each persons circumstances are different and written tutorials, with plenty of images, will provide access to these people. Whether their reasons for choosing written tutorials is due to disability, learning style, learning speed or lack of access to other technologies more choices is better!

With my learning style I find it much more productive for me to read tutorials and follow along than to watch a video. Whether I receive this beautiful oscilloscope or not I plan to start writing and releasing written tutorials. This will not only assist me in furthering my knowledge of electronics but also, hopefully, help others who for whatever reason prefer written tutorials too.

Particularly in analog electronics oscilloscopes are a very useful addition to the learning process. They allow you to visually see what is happening within the circuit. This scope would be used as part of the process, the usb functionality being particularly helpful for taking screen captures to accompany the tutorial.

TLDR; I would use the oscilloscope to increase the availability of written tutorials in the world.

I Need to upgrade to a higher frequency scope, my Tektronix 5110 isn't cutting it when working on my Beagle Bone Black and Arduino IOT projects.  Only Tektronix for me!

I would use the osc to replace my very old tek that I have been using for the last 10 years, that no longer has adjustment knobs.

I am currently working on a home automation system (http://uha.lilstevie.geek.nz) and rely on an osc for most of the design phase of the prototypes for measurement making sure that all circuits are in component tolerances and also for matching the RF designs
