    I will fix the 7 arcade machines I have sitting in my barn, at least attempt it!!!!! And then, take over the world!!!!!!

    OK, in reality, I would do a bit of learning about the circuits I build and so I can check what rate my clock runs at.

    It would also be pretty useful in my wearable heart monitor to debug and make sure you get an accurate reading to help people who may have issues with their heart.

    Because after all, you do not want a clock in a piece of critical equipment causing problems.

    I would use it to help me understand signals and integrated systems better in my education (I am a junior studying electrical engineering).  I would also use it to finally start hobby engineering and not just dream of building fun things.

    Wow, great give-a-way.  Thanks for offering.

     

    I making wireless Arduino sensor nodes for home automation projects.  I write detailed tutorials so others can take my examples and make their own.  Here's an example of a battery powered wireless Arduino mounted under a mailbox - it emails you when the mailbox door opens, and triggers an audio clip to play inside the home.  Complete with web app example.

    A scope would be really handy for my other project ideas.  Right now I'm using a Radio Shack multimeter.  I'd use the scope to troubleshoot voltage regulator issues.  I recently had an problem with an Arduino circuit that kept waking from sleep, which turned out to be due to an a bad capacitor making the output voltage unstable.  I kept looking for spurious voltage on the interrupt pin, which was impossible to find using a multimeter.  It would also be nice to know how much the voltage dips when the wireless transceivers transmit at max dB.

    It would be extremely useful in probing output of various electronic components (discards, old hard drives, printers, etc) in order to determine what kind of signal they output and how it could be used in midi applications. The idea is that depending on what is useful such as signal of a stepper motor, has amplitude and frequency (multiple actually), DC motor encoders, temp modules, resistive strips, and many more objects; would then be coded through the use of an arduino in a modular form such that these devices can be combined or function solo as the means of a midi controller or as a usb device. Other ideas consist of using these converted discards as HID devices that would allow those in need of a different means of working with a computer or electronic device due physical limitations more choice, or at least fertile ground to develop ideas.

    i am 11 years old and I live in south africa where 1 dollar is worth 11 rand in my currency.i cannot afford to buy an oscilloscope and if i win one. when i build my robot i will mention to my whole grade about how element 14 played a big role in my project and how i could not have done my project without them and if my classmates want to build a robot i will mention element 14 is the best place to go.i really want an oscilloscope and it will come in handy when i am building my robot

    I would use it to understand the basics of communication protocols, see what is going on inside electronic devices and maybe I could finish to build projects that I started but I can't finish because I don't have one of these. image

    I have several devices I want to get working with my .Net Microframework boards, and want to build complete drivers for them. Without an Oscilloscope I can't test my driver code to make sure I am meeting the timing constraints the devices require, which would lead to hard to diagnose unreliability.  I also want to make sure that the power supplies I'm using on my breadboard and on my microcontroller boards are producing stable power and are not affected by noise, another task I am unable to do without an Oscilloscope.

    I would continue my journey of learning electronics and make videos as I go so that I can share the highs and lows.  First task would be visualising the differences between raspberry pi power supplies.
