Nice job David, very informative. Always one of my favorite models. Mine was Blue too.

Really sorry I am so late to this! Work and covid got in the way. Indeed, it needed encouragement, but I think you may have meant 'gentle' in the most English sense! Much appreciated.

On the back there is a thermal pad that connects the CPU to the aluminium plate "above" it, this may need some gentle encouragement to seperate?

Have you got it movinng at all yet or is it still rigid in position?

Hi David,

I am trying to replace the logic board on mine and can't seem to yank it out. You make it look so easy! I undid all the screws (except for where ports i.e. ethernet, USB etc ) are as these two screws serve to avoid puling these out! Is there something I may be missing? I am pressing down on that little black lever as hard as I can but it just won't allow the power supply to disconnect. Cheers!
