After just learning about alternating current, Karen solders and assembles a function generator kit in order to generate various waveforms. Once complete, Karen connects the function generator to her oscilloscope to see the various square, sine, and triangle waves. Check out the video to see what happens when Karen also connects a speaker and a string of LEDs!

Well done Karen! Nice to see the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersil_ICL8038 still making sine waves today!

You may want to take a look at Keysight's Educator's Training Kit Lab Guide . (Lab 6 introduces the function generator.) Educator’s Training Kit Lab Guide for 1000 X-Series Oscilloscopes https://www.keysight…

Creating a DIY mirror galvanometer could be another fun project, like this one: www.youtube.com/watch

    Good episode.

I once tested a laser scanner that actually used a mirror glued to a speaker to scan the laser beam at low frequencies. I do not remember the waveform they used, but it could add some interesting capability for your waveform generator to see how each waveform type changes how the mirror on the speaker would change the way the laser spot was moved.
