I went through and interesting article here

 

Basically, what they state is that once you got the correspondence between biosignal ADC reading and maximum blood pressure, you can determine systolic and diastolic pressure by applying a linear equation on the minimum and maximum ADC reading for each heart beat

 

So I have a very simple (yet not optimal) solution to the problem of determining the systolic and diastolic pressure

The flow chart of the process for measuring blood pressure is as follow

    Interesting post, they mention the right theory but as far as what I know there are some risks of error. Anyway this is one of the two methods I am about to try. The difference of using the IR sensors instead of visible light is to reduce the interferences. There are a couple of parts that can clean the noise using OpAmp. Then there is a problem that measuring only the blood pressure on the fingers it is reached only the peripheral circulation and in some cases it seems to be a non full-reliable parameter.

     

    Anyway I will cross-correlate the two measures with the traditional method and this to see what's happen and how far are the two measurements (or near, hopefully image )
