The Bread & Butter : 11

June 25th : Time To wrap it Up

So I think it is about time to compile what I have done so far and call it a day. Here is a bit of a video of my system as it is, as you can see there is still work to be done. My project so far is still definitely in the proof of concept stage but I think it does that nicely. I have a system which is easy to expand upon and no doubt I will continue to play with in the future, I think the idea has promise.

Once thing missing is the web integration, I need to work out a way to give my Bread & Butter project an online presence to make it really useful. I may try and integrate it into my website, I'm sure people will want to know what I have in the fridge..

I will make a final post tonight when I am not at work, this will have all circuit diagrams/eagle files, the code I have written (there is actually quite a lot) and what ever else I have to include to finish off the competition.

I will probably continue work on this project (slowly) for the next few months, it will all be available somewhere on the Internet. Most likely here and on my website www.HowNotToEngineer.com

Well it has been fun, I have learned a lot and got to play with some really cool toys. I would highly recommend going out and trying some of the TI equipment and tools.

    Good overview and demo.

I liked the way you repurposed exisiting devices to include them into your network.  It helped show the versatility of your approach.  It also showed how you can include legacy items into your system with minor changes.

Overall, I think your video presented your architecture, the components, and their connectivity, which is a very good achievement in the length of time you had.  I was struggling with your end goal until I watched the video, now everything makes sense and I see where you were going.

All in all, I think you did a good job.

    Good luck,

    DAB
