Perhaps it could also monitor local traffic conditions to wake you a bit earlier if there is heavy congestion on the roads, or if the temp has dropped below zero overnight resulting in frosted up windscreens requiring extra time to defrost. Could also adjust the heating timer to make sure there is enough hot water for the shower for the earlier start.
