Where are resources to learn about basic electronics?

jmannheimau
jmannheimau over 4 years ago

Are there any tutorials or resources on this site to help learn about basic electronics? I know a little but would be happy to start from scratch and start learning. Most of what I have come across assumes more advanced knowledge than what I have.

Thanks!

I am definitely biased towards a lot of useful resources here at Elemet14 including Learning Circuits, Workbench Wednesdays, and a lot of Projects which come from basics. I would recommend TI Precision…

Hi John, About 6 years ago I posted a thread that asked a similar question. Many of the guys posted great suggestions. Check it out for more ideas. https://www.element14.com/community/people/jw0752/blog…

You could also try the Make: Electronics books by Charles Platt, I found them a great learning resource.

I am definitely biased towards a lot of useful resources here at Elemet14 including Learning Circuits, Workbench Wednesdays, and a lot of Projects which come from basics. I would recommend TI Precision labs covering a lot of Amplifiers, ADC and Power. Analog Wiki is very useful too which literally starts off from electrons and ohm's law to PLLs, RF etc. It gives theoretical + practical and academic perspectives altogether. Here are some:

    1.  Texas Instruments Precision Labs (https://training.ti.com/search-catalog)

    2.  Analog Devices University Program (https://wiki.analog.com/university)

    3.  Microchip University (http://mu.microchip.com/)

    4.  Keysight University (https://learn.keysight.com/lms/)

    5. Battery University (https://batteryuniversity.com/)

image  I’ve been getting a lot of those “error occurred” messages.  The site still has periods of flakiness...
