"The AI Chips" - All Things Tech Podcast

shabaz
shabaz over 2 years ago

Hi!

As the title suggests, there's a podcast episode (third episode) about AI chips : ) It's about 50 minutes long.

We pretty much stuck to the subject and I get the feeling it may need another few episodes on the same topic, since there is a lot to cover! There are a lot of AI chips both by larger firms and startups too, so we could only cover a bit, but hopefully, it is interesting.

To listen to it, here are some of the options: Spotify, Apple,  Anchor, and Google Podcasts.

Impressed by the knowledge that you both have of technological news, I am not able to keep up to date like this.

Thanks for the feedback! Some things take time to make their way into products/solutions so I'm always keen to hear about topics as soon as possible! Hopefully we can keep a quick momentum with the podcast episodes too. The next episode looks at a futuristic (but not so distant, just a few years away) topic, which is new to me, but very exciting because it brings together some interesting technologies, And then in the episode after that, is our first guest!

    Hi Gene, thanks!

I didn't have any real goal beyond just being a way to have a "by the coffee machine" sort of chat that people could listen in to, while they have some time off, and hopefully for others to make comments and join in even if that's offline for now. I'm hoping I may learn some stuff too.

I used to love hearing about things by just stopping to say hi or eavesdropping at the coffee machine. It also reminds me of college days, when people would share what they were working on over lunch or breaks in the student lounges etc.

Incidentally, one of the listeners who work for an org we mentioned in passing reached out and wants to join a future podcast at some point, so I'm looking forward to that, to hear about other people's areas of expertise.

The next podcast but one (the next one is already recorded but not published yet) has the first guest.

That was a very interesting pod cast.  Initially I looked at the 55 minute  run time and told myself I'd split things into 2 different listening sessions, but in the end I couldn't tear myself away.  I'll be looking into the Kendryte and M55.

    Awesome, glad you liked it!

There are two podcasts that will be released during the week I think. One is about the Metaverse (quite interesting, it was a new thing to me, but now I see it is inevitable, it will happen, even if the name is pretty awful - reminds me too much of Meta the company!

The podcast after that covers IoT and IoT communities and is a long discussion with a super-interesting guest, and the time went very quickly for us too while recording it!

Yeah, I'll have to check out the Metaverse pod cast.  Currently I associate it with Facebook jumping the shark.  So it would be good for me to take a second look.

I think this was the video mentioned toward the end of the Podcast ?

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for posting the link! I don't know if it was that one, but it's an excellent video; even if some of it gets hard to follow, nevertheless there's still loads to glean from that for anyone. Really valuable video. I like how he casually drops that he ran the training for 15 minutes on his GPU. That probably cost as much as an apartment : )
