"...Indeed, if you prefer a little bit bigger investment, you can also by the full console for just 30.000$..."
FYI there is currently a special offer on where you can get the DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor free with a new DaVinci Resolve 17 software licence. Not quite a full console, but...
Hey Dave, thank you for the information. Where I can find about the offer? I received the news of version 17. The past month was still in beta but now I see that it seems released with a studio license at 255 Euro (the version 16 studio was about 600, too much for me).

Hey Shabaz, happy to hear this. The real great job they have done is creating a new generation of videomaker, from newbies to cinema professionals, that uses their tools for free. Their business is just the hardware. They produce the best cinema cameras as well as their controllers. The concept is that until you are at a non-pro level or very low budget, you can do anything anyway and better then as your career goes up, you are already inside their ecosystem so why not?
To work with high resolutions and better working conditions, anyway, it is not the processor that makes the difference. I have a mac mini i7 with 32 Gb of Ram and work on SSD. But there are still some lost of fluidity while editing due to the powerful but not super powerful graphic card. The best investment before complex and expensive controllers is and external graphic card.

I recently switched my old PC from Windows to Linux OS so had to find new (free/open-source) products to use.
I ended up with OBS Studio for creating videos. This is the best option I have used to date for my purposes.
I then use https://shotcut.org/ for video editing. It's not bad actually. Still learning and there are a few things that seem odd to me regarding the menu / function logic, but the main benefit I found using this video editing software is that it works pretty smoothly with a low-end computer like mine.
I am going to assume its for use on the raspberry pi? If so I have been using flowblade on all my raspberry pi desktop units its simple and has all the features I need and really doesn't bog the unit down like some of the others. Kdenlive is great if you have a 8gb pi4 it can be very picky at times and can get frustrating.
