What're your weekend plans?

Soldering? Hacking? Or looking after yourself?

I'm still having a clear out of old hardware and equipment , and I found my bluetooth laser keyboard

Looks very much like this:

Which was handy for keeping my desk clear (it also acts like a mouse).

My weekend plans fall into the category of looking after myself.  Last weekend I tested positive for covid.  While it was a relatively mild case after having been vaccinated and receiving two boosters, it still was an uncomfortable and exhausting experience.  I still have a couple for more days of recommended isolation, which is fine as I still am running very short on energy.

I have spent quite a bit of time in my office, mostly doing tasks not requiring my full mental focus, but I did manage to get a few parts designed and 3D printed for a couple of my wife's art projects (mountings for LED lighting systems for some clear glass mosaics).

This weekend, I plan to look into some of my failed projects and debug them. One example is the opamp-a-palooza submission of mine, the LED music visualizer, which didn't work as expected.

For the remaining weekend, I will spend some time working on the thermistor projects and spend time with my family.

Part-time designing sticky labels for a food product.
A friend asked me to do it, and the printer laughed when he heard we were doing leaflets and business cards last month in PowerPoint instead of fancy Adobe software.
He thought it wouldn't work. Anyway, we proved him wrong, the results were pretty good!

And also testing/debugging/improving a cheap thermocouple interface.. it's a bit of an ongoing experiment with help from element14 colleagues.

I just finished my participation in the "7 Ways to Leave Your Spartan-6" program. It has been a very intense two months with 13 blogs and 11 projects around the Arty S7 board. Now I have a little feeling of emptiness. I'll probably dedicate the weekend to some crazy idea to participate in the project14 "Rube Goldberg Device" competition.

We finished a project for the Robe Goldberg Device contest but lost the entire blog edit due to website issues over the weekend.
