A big hello to all!

We are back with December's aske14. As the holiday period is in full swing!

This month, the question is all about someone who has given you the gift of an unlimited budget for one project. What would you build?

Can even wear one on your head:

       Simone Giertz Train of Thought

It's still twice the size of a T Gauge set though.

those bolt on tank tread assemblies. I'd put them on my jazzy scooter, and attach a plow.
more jazzy scooters.. theyre awesome for projects. I'd like to make an RC couch.
The FT series IDEC PLC so Ic an verify that my custom FC6A control library (maintenance protocol ) works. / expand on it. I was going to write a blog about it. its only been verified on FC6A PLCs right now.
A VSIA lib supported multi channel function generator. My agilent is great, but just 1 output. made a program that converts midi to function generator tones, so youc an play the keys on the function generator.

beyond money. .. if things had better docs, or libraries, that would save me a ton of hacking time that could be better spent making rad projects.

A small home PCB manufacturing thing would be great. I'd imagine the usual process is not particularly favorable for home use, so some relatively small, super accurate CNC machine would be the goal I guess. Possibly an all-in-one 3D printer, mill, cnc machine, with swappable toolheads.

    Dream man-cave?
Don't get me started, but it would at least have a two/three displays computer, a few servers running on regular PCs or RPis, a laser engraver, a multihead 3D printer (ie, read plastic/metal/food), a reflow oven, a hot plate and lots of gear to solder in all possible ways.

And also, it would have a fully noise and dust isolated cabin with a CNC router on a 2mx2m table (at least), with also table saw, mitre saw, lathe, and all that's needed to work on wood and or metal.

Well, now that I think of it, please throw in a forge, with casts, and all the fun stuff.

Stop me here, or I'll add a chemicals lab where I could work with so many reactants to get some very weird materials...

If space is a concern, look at the Z gauge, it doesn't take much space

I think I would need an unlimited budget to pull off my ultimate build. Model railroad Formula 1. From the first time I saw the design video I thought, now there is one cool project.

I would build a passiv-house on an acreage by a lake.

Solar panels and whole house battery of course, all sized to be plenty even in our dark BC winters.

An artificial planet would be nice but I don't think I've got enough years left to build it now...

Something along the lines of Kaleb's off-grid project would be awesome.

Failing that, something like a machine shop + FAB lab workshop.
