Let's catch up! What did you enjoy in 2025?

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely holiday period and a great New Year!

As January is a time to reflect, I would love to know your thoughts on a few things the community do.

Can't wait to see what you all say Slight smile

For me the best bit of E14 is the members blogs and the forum discussions. The Road tests and design challenges are often interesting. MK

One of the things I enjoyed most about 2025 was that e14 was still there (here?). I think we all saw a huge amount of change - in a lot of things - in 2025 and yet... I could still log on and participate…

I enjoy so much of the element14 content, it is really difficult to just pick one favorite.

I enjoyed the projects published by members and presenters and the associated interaction.

I also like the creativity associated with writing proposals and doing projects. Last year I didn't participate in as many contests as in previous years, but I did work though several projects on my bucket list and I did more road tests than I normally do. I particularly enjoyed the GIGA R1 road test.

Overall, it felt like the community limped along last year.  There were fewer opportunities, or less that were interesting for me, to get involved with.  I am very hopeful that this year will be a much better year for the community.

I could still log on and participate in a civil, technical community.  It may not be the same community that started 2025, but it's still the best that I've found.  e14 is one of the few things that I have faith in to get even better in 2026.

I liked the webinars the most in 2025.The webinars were informative and good.I kinda miss the Path to Programmable type challenges where there's training and build phases. Now there's the new Spartan US+, there can be a Path to Programmable IV with the new SCU35 in 2026 (or near future) hopefully.Grin

Agree. Tariq and Randy moving on left a void. I saw alot of change in the electrical industry as well, seemingly a tightening of the belt.  Fewer road tests, fewer projects per year, but design challenges seem on the increase. We loved shopping carts :-)

Im encouraged that with new staff, new ideas, and new energy ,the community will be invigorating in 2026.

By focusing more on bucket list projects instead of contests it could be said that in 2025 you put a greater emphasis on autonomy... and that can be good for the soul.
