We need YOU to help shape the Future of our Learning Center

We're looking at refreshing the name of our Learning Center and we'd love to hear what the element14 Community thinks! The goal is to choose a name that better reflects the resources, training, achievements, and certifications that will be available to members.

Whether you've used the Learning Center extensively or are discovering it for the first time, your opinion matters. Please vote for your preferred option below and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. If you have a name idea that isn't listed, let us know!

Vote above and tell us why you chose your option!

Furthermore, we're not just renaming this area of the Community, we're also looking to expand and enhance what it offers. With that in mind, we'd love to know what type of content you think would be the best fit for this space ?

There appears to be quite a bit of learning content spread around the e14 site that doesn't appear to be clearly linked from the current Learning Center.

If it is to be a Center or a Hub, then I think this needs addressing.

Yes, that would be useful, given the rate that product specific training tends to go out of date.

As for the name, I like the Learning Hub, but Learning Center still works for me.

As to the content... I like the breadth of subjects in the current curriculum.  Maybe this was what was meant by "Career development resources".  I'm not sure.
I also think it should link to the more basic content of Arduino, Raspberry Pi, FPGA, etc.  Would that qualify as "Product training"?  Don't host the content in the Learning Thingy.  Just link it.
So... both.  Certifications are nice, but I think that is a heavy lift for an online community.
My biggest request would be dating the training content.  Is it current or is it old? Especially if it concerns one of the SBC's.

Learning Central. Just to mess a little with the minds of 'old' members and new one's will know to find everything learning here.

I liked Learning Lab best because it is alliterative. Wisdom workshop would be fine too. Or Knowledge kitchen. Slight smile

As for content, I'd say product training would be a part, but more transferable skills that are important regardless of product, e.g. how to solve timing problems, what not having enough power on your board looks like, how to engineer a real-time system (hardware and software), etc. rather than just focusing on how to use board-xyzzy by pressing "plugh".

Learning Center is fine. "Educational Content" might also work.

I think Learning Center is sufficiently descriptive and encompassing.  I agree with BigG  that the Essentials topics have been a good fit.

    Educational Resources / Learning Resources

Some of the suggested titles may suggest more of a structure that perhaps isn't quite there yet. For example the use of 'lab' to me suggests that there might be some sort of access to interactive virtual lab equipment. 'Campus' to me suggests that there is some sort of educational certification element.

You have a menu hierarchy problem. The main menu is "Learning" and within this menu you find duplication between these menu items and the "Learning Centre". For example, "STEM Academy" is shown twice. Once on this menu and once in the "Learning Center". That's confusing. Then you have "Learning Community", which probably should be in this learning centre page, but it's not.

So, in my opinion, sort out the main menu items and the rest should follow.

What seems to be under promoted overall is the "Essentials" thread. That is my go to page.

I was not ever aware there is something like "Learning center". Whole site is one big learning center. Even if I click Learn menu it brings to different page.
