I was searching for this list and finally found it! Yes, the top 10 Element14 community members as of April 2018. They truly deserve the spot. Do you have any thoughts on this? Let me know in the comment section below.

The points system is there as extra motivation for people who like this type of progress tracking. If you like getting points, by all means participate for points. As you get to upper levels it takes a lot more points to level up, so the motive may attenuate but there are lots of reward systems on the site, exploit the ones that you enjoy.

I'm floating just within the top 30 - that top 10 spot requires some SERIOUS effort and output from those who reach those dizzying heights.

It's a target for all, aim at it and the worst you can do is miss. There are plenty around here to pick you up, dust you off and give you that push in the right direction again.

Dixon,

as a matter of fact, (been away for a while for personal problems but my mood was always with the members of this community) I think you hear always by us almost the same comments to this discussion. No matter if you search for the top 10, or 20, or more... The real value of us, I mean all of us including you, is the opportunity to have a well-organized place where we can "think-free" about any technical aspect, from products to competitors, from how-to build a space-ship to the right way to solder a resistor. The important point is being together seeing, making, learning and sharing.
After some years of membership receiving and giving support, I can say that I never saw a sole member unheard or unsupported. This is the great philosophy of this very special island.

Hope you are doing good now. Thank you for your insight of the community. Yes this really is a special island. I could have reached here when I did my bachelors! But still I am happy that I am here atleast now. Learning here is more than I did in my college.

I thought it would be much closer, so it's an interesting snapshot.

Out of curiosity I plotted the top 200, skipping to every 10th member to get a visual. It surely takes a lot of time and effort to get into the top 20-25 and those that do are contributing high quality as well as quantity to the community. But there are any number of others on down the list whose contributions I have enjoyed greatly.
