This is a high quality scan of the complete Theremin construction project..

I think it would probably be wise to add  isolation capacitors in series with the antennas if one built this ;-)

DONT think about building this unless you are competent - Electrocution risk is HIGH!

  • Built this in high school, 40 years ago. Worked fine, expect that the tone wasn't stable - it would creep from a deep bass to inaudible in 15 seconds or so.  I used a 24mhz crystal, not being able to locate a 500khz.

     

    I'd like to try it again, checking all the wiring/soldering before turning it on.  And maybe locate a tube tester!

    All the electrolytics look fine - it only got a few hours of use - but I can't see inside the 32-20-20 mf can, of course.  Should I think about recapping first? Everything is Sprague.
