This is the start of my road test. Testing the pirack I felt would be interesting enough with just using it with the expansion boards. I proposed going further, a lot further with this. This is why the blog, due to the size and complexity of my proposal, I may be asking for help from everyone. I am building a Beowulf Cluster (4 pi's and 3 piracks), so I have bought 2 more piracks and the 4 pi's. In the past few days I have modified a pc power supply to run everything, added in a computer case with fans and fan controller (I probably don't need cooling but why not). I added a hard drive, hope it will work once linked in. At this time I am creating a pcb for a hub to link all the power for the pi's to one place. The power supply has been totally rewired to work without being plugged in to a motherboard. This gives me quite a few 5v, 3.5v and 12v individual power supplies. As seen in the pictures, the orange wires are 3.5v, red is 5v and yellow is 12v, as always black is ground. I have just ordered the Pi's and extra racks so they should be here early next week. So far all runs as expected, pictures attached, a lot more to come...
