Arduino releases "Arduino UNO Ek R4" exclusively Made-in-India

Coinciding with the Republic Day of India (26th of Jan), Arduino has announced the launch of "Arduino UNO एक  (Ek) R4 Minima" &  "Arduino UNO एक  (Ek) R4 WiFi" under “Make in India” campaign. The model is same as their global counterpart but specifically made for local availability in India.

"Ek" means One in Hindi

Product Name Price USA store Price in IN store
Arduino UNO R4 Minima  $20 $9.8
Arduino UNO R4 WiFi $27.5 $15.94

The cost of Arduino UNO एक R4 WiFi board is pretty low considering the Dev Kits of Renesas board and ESP32S3 cost more or less same.

Honestly, I feel this is a great initiative by the Arduino, not only we get the boards with cheaper price, we can also avoid cheap counterfeit products as well.

Ek means "One" in Hindi language. There isn't anything special about it other than signifying the board first of it's kind, by which they mean the first Arduino boards to be manufactured fully in India.
