@Brendan Your video is somewhat adequate for the intended purpose, however, from an engineer's point of view it is lacking in providing pertinent facts. Such as the part number, data sheet, and source…

Jeremy, thanks for your intro videos. I am just getting started myself in Arduino though I have done some simple electronics projects using Atmel chips. Here is an example using ATTiny13 chips. www.youtube…

Hi Jeremy I've built a device (see picture) with an Arduino and Ethernet shield that connects to our Network Monitor (Nagios) and moves an arrow to indicate if any of the computers we monitor are not responding…

Love your tutorials Jeremy,  If you or someone could help me, i can't seem to wrap my head around the darn arduino code.  I want to make a remote control bot with my two xbees and arduino's.  i have two thumb joysticks and want to control two dc motors via PWM. I'm willing to pay someone to write code for me. Lemme know & we'll work out the specifics.. image beallen99@ yahoo.com

    Hi Jeremy,

Good day there and do hope you're keeping well.

I just wanted to ask if you can advice me as to how I might be able to program Arduino to interact with an RFID Tag and ask it to trigger an action i.e: an email to open, a video to play, a sound to listen, when it is read by a reader?

Is that possible with the Arduino?

I have gotten my hands on several of these materials from Sparkfun.com (but could not really find the accurate resource just yet to program it):

    1. RFID tags within the range of 125 kHz (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9417)

    2. RFID USB Reder (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8852)

    3. RFID ID-20 Reader (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/8628)

    4. Arduino Uno

Any advice you might be able to provide would be invaluable and I thank you in advance.

    With thanks,

    Cnec

    Hi Jeremy,

RE your video which is coming next week, which RFID reader and Arduino modules will you be using?

    Regards

    S.W.

Thanks a lot Jeremy. Do you know, where I can get the "Arduino Stackable Headers" with extralong pins here in Switzerland? I could not find anything like that at http://ch.farnell.com, nor at any other electronic component retailer here in switzerland.

These Female Headers where not included with the Farnell Article 1848696 (Arduino Protoshield). Neither the ICSP Connector to bring it up to the protoshield was included.

    Regards, Nelson

I don't have time to write the code for you, but if you start attempting to work through it, I can try to provide guidance when something goes wrong.

I'll have a tutorial on read RFID tags in the coming weeks.  In the meanwhile, this tutorial might be useful: http://www.cooking-hacks.com/index.php/documentation/tutorials/arduino-rfid  It's not specifically for your parts, but you can probably extrapolate the info you need.
