need help urgently..

i m making software with arduino..there is some sensor types and they have particular ids like

temp1       sensor id=1         decimal value 49(accordingto ascii code)

like this there are 8 different sensors.i hvae to '

read the serial

store in a data array

compare 1st byte against sensor id

copy rest of data from and display to serial pc

please can anybody help me in coding

    Thanks Mark for your guidance..due to some circumstances i have to do coding but i not good in coding and time is very less for deep study.so  thats why i m request for help...

    read the serial port

    analyze incoming byte

    store sensor value according to each sensor ID

    please help me please

    the strings it looks for can be a single byte (Character), you can shorten the strings in the if statements to whatever you wish

     

    the separation into functions makes it easier to manage in the long run

     

    apologies if it is too complicated, given maybe a few hours of additional study you will see how easy it is

     

    good luck with the assignment and lets see what you end up with, share with the community
