Quadcopter Android Controlled

Is it possible to Control a quadcopter using an android phone without using transmitter/receiver and also using arduino?

The farthest I got while doing this is basically just turning on all 4 motors.. I don't know how I would be able to control it.

any ideas?

I'm also using the app called Bluetoothelectronics for this project.

So you want to do it only with using bluetooth? That might work, but the range would be awful. But you still need some kind of receiver to Arduino if you need some kind of wireless. What if you would use 2x NRF24L01+? They are extremely cheap(0.7 EUR), they have some kind of range and they don't eat lot of power. But if you want to control it with your phone, you might need to use bluetooth to send gyroscope data. What if you would use MPU-6050 (1.5 EUR) or something like that?

I have everything already..the farthest I've gotten is to turn on the motors and control the speed of it using Bluetooth and an android phone... now what I want to do is use my mpu 6050 to stabilize the quad in air and control the yaw pitch and roll using the android phone.
