    I was trying to add a jtag adapter but for some reason didn't spot it in the list of options.

    Inspiration comes from the Papilio FPGA board that I have. It only has the basic requirements (fpga ,flash to store the config and usb to program/power it).

    That board focuses on getting as many pins broken out as possible and have all lines uncommitted.

  • When I saw you had done a dreamboar I was a bit suprised 0 didn't seem quite 'you' somehow.

     

    Now I see your proposal I understand - first sensible Dreamboard ever.

     

    Silabs used to sell really simple boards for their 8051 processors but now they seem to be offering mainly more complicated dev boards for them.

     

    Mind you, I haven't used and 8051 from them for about 10years.
