Analog Devices’ TMC9660-3PH-EVKIT Evaluation Kit is designed to gauge the capabilities of the TMC9660 motor controller and gate driver IC. The kit allows users to drive motors straight out of the box while providing full register functionality and diagnostic support, making it ideal for applications that take advantage of three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motors, permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs), two-phase bipolar stepper motors, and DC motors.
The kit is part of Analog’s Trinamic evaluation board system and comes with the company’s Landungsbruecke interface board, an Eselsbruecke connector board, and a TMC9660-3PH driver board. According to Analog Devices, the TMC9660 board runs on 8V to 70V DC and supports a myriad of control modes, including position, velocity, and torque. It can also handle feedback via ABN encoders and digital Hall sensors and comes equipped with outputs for controlling either a brake chopper or an electromechanical brake.
With that in mind, element 14 is looking for some engineers to evaluate and review the TMC9660-3PH-EVKIT. As part of the Roadtest, engineers will have a chance to apply, receive the kit for free, and share their results and impressions with the broader engineering community.
The Roadtest provides a great opportunity to evaluate the latest motor control tech in a practical, lab-ready format. Whether you’re already working on motion control applications or just looking to explore what Analog Devices’ latest hardware can offer, this RoadTest will grant users a chance to help shape future design decisions.
