Multimedia Expansion Board from Microchip witj a starter kit would be something intresting to test
Silabs Si1000DK wireless development kit or ENERGY-HARVEST-RD Energy harvesting Reference Design would be cool.
Oh, yes! Energy harvesting kits would be awesome!
Hi Nicole,
Asking for ideas is a very good idea, especially since your road tester base has increased dramatically over the last month.
As for what I would like to road test, Test equipment, oscilloscopes, wireless boards for the various processor sets already road tested, robotic components, digital cameras, energy harvesting, home automation, sensors of all types, new display technology, new touch screen technology, new LED lighting technology, IR cameras, highspeed cameras, motion detection hardware and software, and other draft choices to be named later.
Keep reminding your vendors that you have a pool of very talented and technically astute members who would love to test their equipment and give them feedback. Many companies pay independent consultants to test their equipment. Here all they need to do is provide some samples and let the group see what they do under normal and abnormal implementations.
Thanks for giving us a chance to prime the pump and I wish you good luck in finding us neat technology to evaluate.

What a question - it certainly brought all the members out of the woodwork
- Development kits are always good, as long as people follow through and review them appropriately (then again, that goes for any road test)
- lower-end test equipment that more people can aspire to owning, such as Agilent U1231AU1231A and lower end DSOs
- Soldering products such as Hakko FX888 or SMD-related tools
Otherwise, thanks for the Roadtests in general
cheers
john
