  • I look forward to sharing with my cub scout den and teach them a little bit about the wonders of modern  electronics!

  • I'm in the theater and cabaret, and just to be able to travel with all my demo information/reels/footage would be awesome.  A mini media device that can output onto a personal TV or projected image in a blackbox theater would be great!

  • I would create a computer integrated with the TV, which controls each device of my domotic home and have all these control in a server on the net. image

  • I'm interested in using it to glue together several linux/windows external device drivers and an Arduino for a remotely controlled system.

  • Can't Wait untill they come on sale!

I have sooooo many good (bad) ideas

  • All-in-one pinewood derby timer/controller for the local Cub Pack to negate the need for laptops.

  • What do you all think about this comment on the BeagelBoard BeagelBoard vs the Raspberry Pi???

""In a recent interview with Linux User & Developer, Raspberry Pi developer Eben Upton got a chance to talk about the performance of the upcoming SoC that is due out later this month.

“Raspberry Pi, in terms of multimedia, outperforms any other dev board in existence – which is nice,” explained Eben, “In terms of general purpose computing, it’s got this 700MHz ARM11, and our benchmark shows it’s about 20 per cent slower than a BeagelBoardBeagelBoard for general purpose computing. But, you know, it’s a quarter of the price.”"" source http://bit.ly/xYpCry

  • Can't wait to sink my teeth into some Raspberry Pi :-)

  • I want to use it as the platform for an internet radio and music player.

A USB hub will give more ports to connect the following:

    1. The first USB port will be populated by a 802.11 b/g/n network card to connect it wireless to my router.
    2. The second USB port will be populated by a universal card reader, with front side access..
    3. The third USB port will be populated by USB media buttons - play, stop, next, previous, volume up, volume down, removed from an old keyboard.

A SqueezeBox killer and Ipod killer the size of a pocket camera, 4 AA battery powered, to be used without a display at first, with a preloaded list of internet radio stations.

Just power it up and in seconds listen to the last internet radio station before shut-down.

Or insert an SD card and play mp3. Will try to make it for other audio file formats too: flac, aac, midi, kar, etc. A 32 GB microSD holds about 10.000 mp3 or about 1.000 flac and is the size of a fingernail. Good-bye audio CD with 15 - 25 songs.

I will write the software to be easy to use without a display.

I hope others will join this development direction and I christen it Musical Raspi or Music Pi. Delicious.

Thank you to the people who created Raspberry Pi and thank you for taking the time to read my idea.
