The PicoScope 2200A Series oscilloscopes offer a small, light, modern alternative to bulky benchtop devices. You can now fit a 200 MHz, 1 GS/s instrument easily in your laptop bag! They are perfect for engineers on the move; ideal for a wide range of applications including design, test, education, service, monitoring, fault finding, and repair.
A small form factor is not the only benefit of these PC-based scopes. With our PicoScope 6 software, high-end features such as serial decoding and mask limit testing are included as standard. New functionality is regularly delivered through free upgrades, optimized with the help of feedback from our customers.
Testers will be selected on the basis of quality of applications: we expect a full and complete description of why you want to test this particular product.
Testers are required to produce a full, comprehensive and well thought out review within 2 months of receipt of the product.
Failure to provide this review within the above timescale will result in the enrolee being excluded from future Road Tests.
It really depends on whether or not Premier Farnell has a relationship with the supplier in question; having said that, there has been talk about getting more equipment of the kind that you describe, so stay tuned.
That's fantastic. I've been reading through a lot of the older road test reviews and I have a question. Are there going to be any road tests on some soldering stations? I'd like to know about some of the not-so-well known names in soldering. Everyone knows MetCal and Weller are great, but what about that name you've never heard of.... how good is that station? I've always hesitated purchasing those unknown names when it comes to soldering irons/stations.
It is really the bundled software that makes or breaks a USB-based scope. It will be interesting to see how this model fares. The screenshots of the software actually look quite nice.
Nicely said mark, I have not had the benefit of using one before but have written software to interface to more traditional scopes (With Displays) in order to provide similar functionality, this was as a hobby though, it will be interesting to see how a commercial built package performs, cant wait to see the reviews either.. Good luck
We used a PICO scope 4000 series in a custom data acquisition project a couple of years ago. The PICO scope integrated very nicely with custom Matlab analysis software we developed for the project. I have no experience with the 2000 series, but overall I was impressed with the PICO scope 4000 series.
Best of luck to the Road Testers on this competition and I look forward to the reviews.

I'm pleased to say that Pico have been so impressed by the responses to this RoadTest that they have granted us an additional 3 oscilloscopes!
I'm pleased to say that the oscilloscopes have shipped and the tracking numbers have been issued to the testers. Thanks very much.
