Poll: How Can I Get You More Active In The RoadTest Program?

Greetings. If you don't know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Randall Scasny and I manage the element14 RoadTest Program. While I know some of you, I don't know all of the 5,352 members who follow the RoadTest group. I am always interested in getting more members involved in this program. I'm always looking for good roadtesters who are committed to producing a review everything can enjoy to read and experience. That's why I am writing today: What Can I do to get you more active in the roadtest program? My poll covers the range of things I consider when working with suppliers on offering a particular product to roadtest. If you have other things on your mind, feel free to add them in your comments.

I understand why this happens, the manufacturers bring other there latest test equipment product.
It's got some cutting edge features, faster, more compact, better software etc.
The review products have the highest end model, all the options fitted so everything can be tested, end result very pricey.

The more affordable products tend to be more redesigns of earlier high end products, to make them cheaper to produce.
Nothing revolutionary there, likely several generations of redesign and improvements. No real need to have extensively reviewed, product should sell itself.

Exactly how I feel on pretty much every subject, saves me writing it up.

One point of difference, I did look at the Beaglebone AI and other like boards.
Decided that learning how to program yet another micro and use it's related ecosystem, is a step too far.
Only so many programming languages I can fit in my head, without forgetting something.

I'll take the blame for this.
The roadtest time is actually set up for UK time. I'm in chicago, and I tend to think in terms of Chicago time.
I apologize if this has caused you some inconvenience.
In the future, if this ever comes up, contact me and I will re-open the roadtest.

My experience is the words meaning has been so watered down, it is just an adjective thrown in front of other words for hyperbole.

The term professional 20 years ago held a different status. It value has been diluted because the lack of commitment to what it represented. Everyone today is a professional.

I would hope one does not need to spend more than 1 minute on how to answer the question "what does being a professional to you?" But I will say the question is revealing. And I have gotten answers I would not have expected.

This would be in addition to the roadtest product. So, if someone complete a roadtest, we would give him/her an arduino board or a hand tool.
