RoadTester Poll: What Are You Purchasing or Planning to Purchase in the Near Future?

I have conducted product polls in the past. One comment usually comes up as a reason for applying for a roadtest: the roadtest is a product that I need for a project or at work. (for work, I usually get the comment I am using something but I want to improve it with the roadtest product.)  So, this poll is a check on the roadtest group--members that follow, apply and conduct roadtests. I'd like to see what you are in need of or are doing. This may help me determine whether a product is a good first for the roadtest program.

  • There are now some automotive related development boards with low cost lidars or radars I would like to roadtest.

    For reference, these items are always in my maker shopping cart,

    I may not have an immediate project, but will buy for my inventory if I see a good really deal:

     

    usually 24V and below. usually less than 10A-15A

     

    controllers (Arduinos & Raspberry Pi Pico) ,

    single board PCs, (Raspberry Pi , Beaglebone)

    lightweight sensors - distance, light, gas, water, gyros, almost anything I2C or simple analog

    LEDs ( from little sparklies to 6-10W, addressable ones too)

    encoders - photoelectronic devices

    6-12V hobby servos from the 9 gram size all the way to 110.0 kg.cm torque

    linear actuators/servos

    matrix OLED displays from little bitty ones to 4-5 inches

     

    tools - yes

    test equipment - yes

    3D print - yes

    lightweight HD monitors and touchscreens

     

    fractional HP gearmotors - DC, DC brushless, steppers

    H bridges (up to 100A peak)

     

    3-24 V batteries 

     

    maker kits like robot arms, vehicles, chassis etc.

    Bench Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Spectrum analyzer, and what now? That would be a luxurious life image

  • I currently I am looking for some more advanced and performant logic analyzer. I classify it to both categories Development Tools and Test Equipment. I selected Development Tools in poll. But I am partialy interested in many other categories like Wireless/RF, SBC, Power, Memory, Interfaces and Analog.

    Any kind of product that would be maker or hobbyist related. For example a microbit or microbit kit. It could be Raspberry Pi if that's how you interpret it. But the Ras Pi could be a single board computer.  (For me, and for scheduling roadtests, Pi as Maker and Pi as single board computer are two different things.)

     

    I suppose Makers could also be a 3d printer.

     

    I left it open because I wanted to get a sense of who is looking for maker/hobbyists products.
