I am interested in a flexible decimator digital filter for a sigma-delta ADC that I designed and fabricated for my University VLSI project. As an avid rock climbing enthusiast, I would like to develop a system with presence detection at an outdoor climbing location and then automatically illuminates the climbing path during the evening climbs.

I'm looking for a small embedded controller for my university project, which has application in the field of haptic communication for the hearing impaired radio amatuer community and for augmenting the comms experience of anyone who needs 'discreet' communication.

A controller for a low powered ham radio beacon. I have sucessfully built these with the ATTiny series of microcontroller and it would be interesting to see how much more capability I could pack in with the power that this board provides. My aim would be to get the processor to do as much of the work as possible with only a few external parts to handle the RF. Probably this could be limited to an RF Oscillator and 100mW power amplifier. However it might be possible to derive the RF Signal from the processor and exclude the external oscillator.

FWIW it is entirely possible for a signal of 100mW on the 30 meter (10.140 MHz) band to be received anywhere in the world providing the propogation conditions are right. Beacons can work in a number of different modes, the simplest being sending slow morse code (3 second dots).

This sort of project would appeal to a lot of ham radio operators (there are a million or so world wide) and is a good way to introduce young people (of any age) to the hobby. It's quite a buzz to get a signal report from such a tiny circuit from someone the other side of the world.

Well they say they have 500 to give away, and ther are only about 125 comments so should be around 375 boards left. I only see two or three people that say they have recieved one. I would like to get my hands on one, looks like it would be fun to play with.
