I would use it to design an energy-efficient smart data logger for monitoring the bee colonies within the winter season. Sensors for monitoring the temperatures (internal in several points and external) and humidity will be installed on the board and connected to the MCU with using the I2C or SPI interface.

I would use this as a jumping off point to my first electronics project. I found this site through watching "The Ben Heck Show" and my mind is racing with the possibilities. I think I will start off with an interactive treat dispenser for my dogs to train them to ring a bell to go outside.

    Thanks for the great site!

I would use it to sample a Hall sensor to drive a DRO for my mini-lathe.

My project idea is to use it as a single bit sigma-delta converter and examine the low power features for using it as an efficient ADC.

    Ultrasonic rain detector.

Stick a piezo speaker on the window to pick up the rain drops when you can't decide it's just grey or grey and raining.

This should be a really useful one for Farnell employees in Leeds image
