    Yup, bad wording. #7's explanation is worded poorly. #17's explanation contains a typo.

     

    X-Capacitors are only rated for Line-to-Line. Y-Capacitors are intended for Line-to-Ground but can also be used as Line-to-Line. (however, Y-caps rarely get designed in as line-to-line because of their size/cost, relative to an X-rated capacitor with similar capacitance.)

    In the quiz resource guide, Question 7 and Question 17 appear to contradict themselves.

    Even my part of job is quality control of positive component like capacitors, i only passed 86% first try and need read from hints for the very new type of film capacitors trends.
