Peg Board Accessories?!

It's official, the ink has dried and by the end of the month I will be the owner of a new house... a real people house... with a roof... a door... and most importantly...  with a Garage. My maker and engineer project instincts have kicked into overdrive. I need a workbench and Peg Board to organise the mass of tools littering boxes, bags and cupboard in my currently rented house.

As an avid 3D Printing fan, I have found this great list of Peg Board mods on Thinginverse, including caliper holders, bottle openers, 3D printing Spool holder:

My question to you is:
What should I add to my Peg Board tool set up?
Have you a self built or 3D printable accessory of value I should add?

Best Suggestion in the element14 office so far has been from cstanton, declining the beer and coffee holder and vastly improved it as a Kitten holder.

Definitely needs a DVM holder - with a slot for test probes.

I found this setup the best. Using the hooks to hang steel rods and flat bar, and attach stuff using small clamps with magnets glued to them, or just the magnets themselves.

    Hi Phil,

Congrats! : ) This is really great news!

Maybe since it is winter, a heater is needed for working there. The oil-filled (but electric powered) ones from Argos etc., are pretty good.. my workshop is warm within minutes with that.

Regarding pegboard, I don't currently have it, I just drill into the wall hehe. I'm using these bins and back platebins and back plate to store all the different sized drill bits etc.

And larger bins for.. larger stuff : ) I've got wood shelves fitted (they are kind-of standalone, but the vertical bits are screwed to the wall), so the larger bins just sit on shelves and are not attached to the wall.

I have hardly any room to move in my DIY workspace currently.. there's two equipment racks (one caged) that I thought I could fit shelves to turn into storage, but I've not got around to it, and no space to install the table saw until I clear some boxes. Also you may want to keep space clear for large stuff, e.g. sheets and planks of wood since homeowners are expected to have these : )

I got lots of free wood shelves from a local library that was closing, but I wish I'd taken more, they of course had enough to floor an entire home... I regret that each time I think about it : )

Also, maybe lighting is worth taking time considering. For me the ceiling is low, so I've had to resort to fitting a few lamps on the walls, pointing towards bits of equipment (and I also painted the (wooden) ceiling white, that made a huge difference : )
