@everyone

Any success with the eBay purchased USBISP 51 AVR ATMEL ISP Downloader usb dongels?

Of Concern To ATTiny Users:  According to the authors of TinyAVR uC Projects for the Evil Genius; to enable the use of the Reset pin of an ATTiny13 uC as an ADC input channel, the RSTDISBL fuse bit must be set.  This can be done using the ISP, but, once done then any further programming/reprogramming  of the device requires the use of STK500 in HVSP mode.  Ok, I gather fuse pain and aggravation is/has been part of the uC game, but is that still true for the ATTiny45 and ATTiny85 ATMEL uC products?

    Regarding the reset pin, I think you're right, although there are other ADC pins that could be used instead. If pin requirements are tight and it is not a commercial project, then I tend to just pick a larger AVR with more pins, so that I never have to program the Reset pin's functionality. The ISP capability is important for me, I'd rather not disable it.

    Well, when mine comes in a week or three, I will be making ready with Lady Ada's tutorial: http://www.ladyada.net/make/usbtinyisp/avrdude.html
