The OPAx189 series of high-precision operational amplifiers are ultra-low noise, fast-settling, zero-drift devices that provide rail-to-rail output operation and feature a unique MUX-friendly architecture and controlled startup system. These features and excellent ac performance, combined with 0.4 μV of offset voltage and 0.005 μV/°C of drift over temperature, make the OPAx189 well-suited for precision instrumentation, signal measurement, and active filtering applications.
The THS3491 current feedback amplifier (CFA) provides performance levels for applications requiring the lowest distortion at high output power levels from DC through values greater than 100 MHz at 100-Ω loads. Although specified at a gain of 5 V/V, this current feedback design holds near constant bandwidth and distortion over a wide range of gains. The 8000 V/μs of slew rate delivers an output of 10 VPP into demanding loads with low distortion through 100 MHz. The 900-MHz, small-signal bandwidth delivers a low overshoot of less than 1.5% for a 10-V step, and rise and fall times of less than 1.3 ns. Peak output current drive values greater than 500 mA enable driving heavy capacitive loads with fast signals.

The OPAx388 (OPA388, OPA2388, and OPA4388) series of precision operational amplifiers are ultra-low noise, fast-settling, zero-drift, zero-crossover devices that provide rail-to-rail input and output operation. These features and excellent ac performance, combined with only 0.25 µV of offset and 0.005 µV/°C of drift over temperature, make the OPAx388 ideal for driving high-precision, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) or buffering the output of high-resolution, digital-to-analog converters (DACs). This design results in superior performance when driving analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) without degradation of linearity.

These devices offer outstanding dc precision and ac performance, including rail-to-rail input/output, low offset (±5 µV, typ), low offset drift (±0.2 µV/°C, typ), and 10-MHz bandwidth. Other features include differential input-voltage range to the supply rail, high output current (±65 mA), high capacitive load drive of up to 1 nF, and high slew rate (20 V/µs), which make the OPA192 a robust, high-performance operational amplifier for high-voltage industrial applications.
The THS4551 fully differential amplifier is commonly used as an interface from single-ended sources to the differential output required by high-precision analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). Designed for exceptional dc accuracy, low noise, and robust capacitive load driving, this device is well suited for data acquisition systems where high precision is required along with the best signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) through the amplifier and ADC combination. The THS4551 features the negative rail input required when interfacing a dc-coupled, ground-centered, source signal to a single-supply differential input ADC. Very low dc error and drift terms support the emerging 16- to 20-bit successive-approximation register (SAR) input requirements. A wide-range output common-mode control supports the ADC running from 1.8-V to 5-V supplies with ADC common-mode input requirements from 0.7 V to greater than 3.0 V.

TIDA-01057 Reference Design Maximizing Signal Dynamic Range for True 10 Vpp Differential Input to 20 bit ADC
TIDA-01057 is a reference design board for the THS4551. It is designed for high performance data acquisition systems to improve the dynamic range of 20 bit differential input ADCs. Many DAQ systems require measurement capability at a wide Full Scale Range in order to obtain sufficient signal dynamic range. Many earlier reference designs for SAR ADCs have used the THS4551 FDA (fully differential amplifier). The THS4551 is limited to a 5.4V maximum supply, which is not sufficient for realizing the true 10Vpp differential output (10V FSR) required to maximize the dynamic range of SAR ADCs with a 5V reference. This reference design explores the benefits of a true 10Vpp differential output by implementing the THS4561 FDA which has a maximum supply of 12.6V.
