The Saviour - #1 The Introduction

Agriculture - The World's most essential one ! It is an art of growing food with nature's help. Without food no human can survive. Without agriculture human can't get food. Now technology has developed a lot and continuing to develop. So according to the given theme, I'm planning to develop a robotic system capable of monitoring, irrigating, and planting the seeds in the land. I named my robot "The Saviour", since agriculture is an essential one for every human to live and it saves our life. Let's have a detailed explanation of the project.

The Saviour:

I'm planning to build an robotic system which can move and plant the seeds in the land, irrigate the land whenever needed by measuring the land's moisture. The robot can be controlled using mobile app,or using our voice. So the robot will have voice control as well as app control feature. The design of the robot can be divided into two, the base rover part and the upper robo arm part. So the robot will be a combination of rover and a robo arm which enables the robo to move and pick and place objects, plant the seeds, irrigate the land. The bot will have a small water tank to irrigate the land whenever needed. The idea may look simple, yet powerful !

The bot can be operated by battery, also I'm planning to use opencv in the bot to detect the weed and food crops, so that it will be better for us to remove the weeds. Also the video will be live streamed to our smart phone. The bot's robo arm can be used to remove weeds as well as to plant the seeds i.e Sow the seeds.

The App:

The app used to control our bot will be written in Python3 and a special python library is used to build the app. Kivy python library will be used to build the app. Kivy is a framework developed specially for running python apps on android os. So I'll be creating the Saviour app using python3 and kivy.

I hope you enjoyed my introduction blog. Soon I'll write blogs on how I'm building the Saviour. Stay tuned!
