Bluetooth Unleashed : AAPSAD #11 : Someone has to die!

Hi guys,

After successfully testing the Bluetooth part, everything was falling in line, which actually raised a suspicion on my head, how come nothing go wrong?

02, July

5.30 PM :

Before starting with soldering everything wanted to double check everything works fine, and they did.

Also wanted to see and test the GUI on the Rpi Touch Screen.

5.45 PM :

Panic starts, the display doesn't power up, no backlight and nothing happends.

5.50 PM:

After a little trouble shooting found the FFC to be broken. Online order might take up to weeks to get delivered, so decided to reach my local electronics market still that needs a day.

03, July

Decided to finish off the small works, started with the soldering and its all done. Hot glued everything inside the humidifier with vents for the DHT11 and Light Sensor

My usual 3D printer is currently unavailable and the other printers are charging so high so I'm limiting myself with printing two standoffs alone rather than the complete case. Parts came after two days.

The other main part, the visuals and music were incomplete so spent some time over it and its all done. Picked up some ambient music from YouTube and visuals I picked up a few, for sad I've picked up fire place (fire makes me happy), for anger picked up a calm sea and joy a florish one, had a guy who works for post productions helped in this.

Saturday morning, started to my local electronics market.

Got a few stuffs too some small speakers, A better power supply and finally the FFC.

But there is a catch. I couldn't find the exact one so had to buy a much wider one. Now the real problem is trimming it down to size.

Finally managed and trimmed and it works perfectly. Screwed the

What else? Its time for the final show.

Good progress on your design challenge project. Looks like all the pieces are coming together. Good work on finding fixes to the problems that were coming up. Hopefully no one was actually hurt. Keep up…

I had plugged a header in one-pin off and applied power while doing the final installation of the hardware.

To make maters worse, I had a three-day trip for work during that final week and would be unable to work on the project image

I had to take half a day of vacation to come home and figure out happened and how much damage there was. My boss was really cool about it when I told him (he is an EE). I had to shoot my "final" video using my smartphone for a display instead of the actual one. Luckily the replacement arrive while I was on the trip and I threw in in late Friday night the last day of the contest and did a quick final update post...
