We are currently enrolling Challenges for our Bluetooth Unleashed Design Challenge.
I often am asked the question (privately), is it worth it for me to apply? I generally talk about the Challenge and what it is trying to accomplish. I also ask about the would-be Challengers interests and goals. I think it's always a good idea for a Challenger to feel it benefits him or her. I think Design Challenges are hands-on learning experiences that should be some fun for the Challenger.
What a rarely talk about is the prize money. But for this Design Challenge, I can't help but mention it.
We did something a bit differently for this Design Challenge: instead of hunting for prizes we think (even though we are not mind readers) our Challengers would like, we decided to give them shopping carts:
- Grand Prize -- $2000 value
- Runner Up -- $1500 value
- Third Prize --$1000 value
In addition, any person fulfills the Challenge's requirements will get a Pocket Beagle Bone, Tenma Fume Extractor, Tenma Soldering Station, and element14 Community Backpack + Sticker!
