Hello friends

I was trying to getting started with arduino yun.I was able go get it on my laptop's wi-fi.Then I tried to re-configure it using 192.168.240.1 because arduino.local was not working. After re-configuring it showed that arduino is being restarted. But I cannot find it in my wi-fi panel after restart is it normally happen or arduino will connect my assigned network.

Regards,

parth

Look at Arduino - ArduinoYun. If you connect your PC to the funny shaped port, you can see a login for serial machine. If you enter ifconfig. it will show current IP address.

I did not get detection by name to work.

The IP needs to match the ranges given out by your router. I found that setting it to have a statically assigned address on the router works well.

You first need to switch your WiFi on your laptop to the Yun. Only then it will be available on that ip address.

The step - by - step guide is here: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/ArduinoYun

Search for 'Configuring the onboard WiFi', then follow the exact steps.

Just re-read your comments and you had done that.

If the Yún can't be found by name (don't worry, it doesn't work on my PC reliable eather, even though I installed the Bonjour Print Service),

    then you have this option:

Go to the management page of your WiFI router, and look for the Yún. On my router, it shows up as 'Device'  image.

    Check it's IP address.

Use your browser, and type: http://<that ip address>
